Let it begin

Back on the prometrium. They wanted me to swallow the pills this time, but I already have a pretty strong association with those pills and my vagina, so swallowing them seems icky, plus the side effects are suppose to be worse. So, I disregarded the instructions.

And in accordance with starting a new round of progesterone, I took an HPT. I really felt this was pointless and didn't want to do it for many reasons, not the least of which was: if ovulation managed to escape my paranoid detection, it would be way too early to test. Oh well, totally negative, of course.

In other news, I'm hosting the neighborhood women's Bunco game tomorrow night. I don't really like hosting since my house is on the smallish side to accommodate an extra 20 people or so. I just want to get it over with and not feel guilty for not offering to host for another year.

So today, I'm cleaning and tracking down card tables and chairs.

I've always wanted to try prometrium. I've only taken provera, and I hate hate hate it. The side effects are miserable. I've read that prometrium is much easier to take, but that it can take longer to bring on a period. I hope that isn't the case for you, as I know you have a tight schedule you are hoping to follow.

I'm doing prometrium instead of provera because when I was a teen and tried provera it didn't work even after two rounds. So, even if prometrium is slower, I am too scared to try provera again.

The prometrium is pretty great, other than the big 'ol breakout I got last cycle. I hope that doesn't happen this time, but I'm afraid to take antibiotics (risk of yeast infection) and I will be on antibiotics for the HSG anyhow.

Another provera advantage, it's a lot cheaper than prometrium. Prometrium costs me $40 for 10 days. I think provera is on Wal-Mart's $4 list.

On the plus side for prometrium, it's safe if I was accidently preggers, which is not a big concern right now!)
