Apparently the hold up was that nobody ran my progesterone all day and the nurse was waiting to see it before calling to give me both at once.

Once she realized that it wasn't run she went ahead and called me:

I am pleased with the number. (16dpo fyi)

And my progesterone just came in.

I am not so pleased with this number. I was given the option of supplements right now or wait and redraw it on Saturday. I'm opting for the wait and redraw and if it doesn't go up I probably will do it then.

I've read a little about supplements. I don't think they are extremely helpful for the majority of patients but I know for those that experience RPL they can make a big difference. And my clinic said they were not extremely worried by that number, but would prefer to see it in the 20's. My basic line of thinking is that I'm doing fine so far, and I don't want to have shove up things my hoo-ha for the next 9 weeks or something unless I really need too.

Hopefully another 2 days won't matter... I hope I don't regret my decision. Now I'm totally freaking that I've screwed up. Anyone with similar levels out there that can tell me it will be ok?

Oh, and the phones are acting weird lately apparently.

Wow, 586 for 16dpo is fantastic! How many follicles did you trigger? You might have twins in there!

I'm probably not much help with the progesterone. Mine was 36 at my first beta (12dpo), but I was already on prometrium. If your RE isn't too worried about it, I wouldn't worry about it. Like you said, you'll recheck it in 2 days and can always start supplementing then if need be.

I think that my progesterone started out at 37 ...when it dropped to 17 they started supplement. Because I've done the RPL thing and it was most likely due to progesterone deficiency? My opinion is skewed. As uncomfortable as it is, I'd call them in the a.m. and go the shoving things in the hoo-ha route and avoid the RPL route altogether. The supposotories aren't incredibly uncomfortable or messy. But like I said. Obviously, an extremely skewed non evidence-based opinion. And I typo'd "ovaries" in my last comment. Lovely :)

I had a miscarriage at 18 and was not able to get pregnant again until 36, and progesterone was a huge issue. I started spotting a few weeks into my pregnancy with my son, and my progesterone was 8.9. I started vaginal suppositories morning and night and the spotting stopped almost immediately and never came back. I know some people really don't like the suppositories, but they didn't bother me. It sounds like your clinic is on top of it, and that's great--I had to pretty much say I wasn't leaving until they checked it. (Which worked too. LOL) And congratulations on such a great beta!!

Wow!! That's awesome! Congrats again!!
I'm not sure what to say about the supplementing progesterone option. Will you be able to get fast results with retesting on Saturday? Here Saturday draws don't get results till Monday. I'd be worried if it was that long of a wait to see if it rises.

That is a great beta 16 dpo! Congratulations! Don't worry about the supplements if you end up going that route -- I mean they're not pleasant and I wouldn't choose to take them if I didn't have to, but you'll get used to them. Meanwhile, enjoy! Hope you're planning a fun celebration this weekend -- you so deserve it!
